Soft Brown Gyaru Eyes

I’ve been loving all shades of brown eye shadows lately and I think I’ve found a gorgeous matte brown shade from Top Shop- will show it to you guys soon! Anyways, today I used my trusty Kate Dual Eyes BR1 alone for this eye look and I loved the soft brown effect it gave. Brown shades really help to open up the eye without looking overly harsh or unnatural.

IMG_0428

I created this natural dolly eye look using my favorite Korean Eyelashes of the moment & bottom lashes ( bought in Japan ).

Anyways, this dolly eye look isn’t as dramatic. It’s just a softer approach to the wide eyed look Smile
Hope your week gets off to a great start!!

Droopy eyeliner Technique for Bigger Rounder Eyes

A lot of Japanese Eye makeup styles have been employing the use of extending the upper eyeliner downwards past the corners of the eye to give an elongated and wider eye shape. I like this technique so much because you can control how intense or natural you want it to look.

IMG_0078

I actually paired this droopy eyeliner look with brown eye shadow and false eyelashes that aren’t too dramatic. I also apply my falsies further away from the inner corners of my eyes and more towards the center of my lid. The falsies help to conceal the extended eyeliner at the corners and gives the appearance that eyes are naturally bigger!

IMG_0061

By drawing my upper eyeliner past my corners, I have to connect my outer lower eyeliner further down from my lower lash line, thus leaving a space btw the lower lash line and the drawn eyeliner.  This gap is excellent for people who have tiny eyes and want to make it appear rounder because it gives the illusion of bigger eyes. Smile  If you want to dolly this look up further, get a really good pair of lower lashes ( dollywink lashes would work perfectly) and apply it onto the lower eyeliner.

A tip ** If you want it dramatic, use a dark liquid eyeliner, if you want it natural looking, use a soft brown pencil eyeliner or neutral eye shadow colors.

Super Easy Eyes with Korean Falsies

Girls with hooded lids look really nice with falsies especially in pictures. It helps to bring out the eyes and No I am not talking about over the top XiaXue eye makeup but wearable and non clownish eye makeup.

So far, the best false eyelashes I have used are these random Korean Branded lashes from SaSa. They are soft and look very natural. They are a breeze to use.

So, it only took me 10-15 minutes MAX to do this simple eye look, which goes to show how easy it is!IMG_5767IMG_5763

Step 1: Apply a base for shadow to stick. Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Becca cream eye shadow, etc…

Step 2: Apply Mac shadestick Blackish Purple color, close to the lashes, leaving the inner corner and the bottom inner half untouched. The color is very light but it’s just a outline

Step 3:Taking Mac Vanilla Pigment, apply it onto the inner corners and the bottom inner lash line

IMG_5734IMG_5735

Step 4: Use a color closest to your lid shade and blend it all over lidsIMG_5736

Step 5 :Intensify the black outline. I love these Loreal Hip Eyeshadows that Dee sent to me:)

IMG_5732

Step 6: Take Falsies, measure and trim it. Since it is so long, I like to trim the outer ends and  glue the extra lash portion onto the band of the outer corners of the original falsie and give it time to dry!

Apply as close to lash line as possible & Curl if you like ~ IMG_5740

Step 7: Apply Fairy Drops Mascara generously to both false and real lashes as well as the bottom lashes.

Step 8: U’re done! Check for any unblended harsh lines:-)

Hope that was quick enough for u busy bees out there! It’s FRIDAY!!

Japanese Eyelashes EYEMAZING

CUTE EYEMAZING LOWER EYELASHES:-

Eyemazing No.201 (6pcs) - Click Image to Close

I was flipping through the newspaper this morning and there was a pretty big advert promoting Japanese Eyelashes Brand – EYEMAZING. I love the wide eyed dolly look and haven’t really come across such pretty Lower Eye Lashes. There are tons of pretty Upper False Eyelashes at SASA but  pretty lower lashes seem to be a rarity at the local drugstores. Do let me know if these type of lower lashes can be found in SaSa or Watsons, as I may have walked right passed it and not noticed anything!

Eyemazing No.202 (6pcs) - Click Image to Close

There are 6 pieces in each box and they cost 15SGD per box, which means that individual  lash cost 2.50SGD which is pretty reasonable.  I’m thinking of getting a few of these cute dolly lower lashes :-)

Best Buy World is offering free delivery for purchases above SGD50 and they even sell skincare and cosmetic items in Samples, Regular and Tester Sizes. Comparing Best Buy World to Strawberry Net, their cosmetic and skincare range  is significantly smaller and they only ship within Singapore. BBW prices seems to be lower than what I find on Strawberry Net. Well, if you are looking for variety and range in terms of cosmetics and skincare, Strawberry Net may suit your needs better. If you have specific products that you are looking for, you could give BBW a glance over to see if the prices are more competitive.

Besides the EYEMAZING Lashes, I have my eye on these 5 products :-)

1) Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil ( Mine ran out after 2 years and it’s super worth it! )
