PROS--
* Lashes are lengthened
* Clumping Effect – Can be good for dolly eye looks
* Lashes feel soft
* Makes lower  lashes look fabulous
*Easy to remove
CONS--
- can get very clumpy after many coats
-smudges easily ( but it also is very easy to remove)
-needs to be layered with another mascara for better looking lashes
- pricey compared to other drugstore mascara
* Differing Results – I experienced different looking lashes when using this mascara. What I mean is that it looks different when I apply on freshly washed lashes versus lashes which have been exposed to elements. This is the strange part of this mascara. It seems to apply better on my lashes after I have just bathed or washed my face and also when I have another mascara on first. It needs a base to work well. Well, after some consideration, this is a drawback to this mascara because not everyone has the luxury of putting on makeup right after a bath or washing their face. I do my makeup in the car always~~~ hehe

Overall, I think this mascara is a little strange because it works well only on clean lashes or lashes with an existing base ( – mascara or mascara base). There were times when I applied it on a few hours after I had taken a bath or washed my face and it didn’t quite “STICK” so well to my lashes.
For a dolly look or for photo shoots where you really want lashes to pop, it works great, but on a everyday basis, it’s kinda heavy and clumpy. It clumps but doesn’t weigh lashes down. I’m kinda sitting on the fence with this mascara. I use it on top of another mascara when I want my eyes to pop ~ For now, I won’t say it’s a bad or good mascara yet…. … totally undecided about this one…

Anyways, I finally got a chance to dye my hair after like a year ( was avoiding it during my pregnancy ) ~!! I know I know, I couldn’t live with my multi colored hair and took the opportunity when baby was asleep to get my mom to color my hair. Thank God. I feel almost normal again!
I don’t have much time to do my own things nowadays and when I do have the time I devote it to doing reviews and surfing beauty blogs because this is my passion. Anyways, I did this simple FOTD & hope you like it. I am LOVING Coastal Scents lip smacks in OASIS. It looks so so pretty with a concealor on top and I just love wearing it.

Etude House Peach Water Gloss Review

Etude House has one of the best tasting and smoothest lip glosses and stains in my opinion =-)
Etude House Peach Water Gloss in Strawberry Milk looks like a nice warm pink in tube. When swatched , it does look like it’s name – strawberry milk. I like this gloss a whole lot and recommend it to anyone who wants a gloss without the sticky feeling and has a yummy taste to boot! Application is smooth & easy as 123.

It’s not an intense pink gloss and is the color veers towards the sheerer side. If you are a fan of sheer pink moisturizing lip glosses, Etude House Peach Water Gloss if a good contender. Packaging is pretty too.
Of course the downside to any sheer moisturizing gloss is that it won’t last that long. It last 2 hours maximum on me and I didn’t even talk much or eat.

Clarisonic Mia Review

Anyways speaking of apothica.com, I caved a few weeks ago and bought a Clarisonic Mia from them. Delivery took 3 days and I was super pleased with their customer service!

I've been using clarisonic Mia for 2 weeks now and I can safely say that It's a really good  cleansing product.


It took me 5 days of daily usage before I fell in love wit it. The reason for me wanting to try the clarisonic was because my skin felt a little dull and my skincare pdts were not sinking into my skin and giving me a radiance anymore. I needed something to slough off the dead skin cells and clarisonic Mia did just that !
Each time u switch it on, it lasts for 1 minute and I was thinking that a minute is way too short. Oh how wrong I was. I cleansed my face twice in a row, which makes it 2 minutes and my skin felt a little raw afterwards. The 300x  revolutions per second is not a joke. Stick with the suggested 1minute for the whole face, it's more than enough. Also, it a very therapeutic experience especially after a long sweaty day when you know ur skin has been suffocating under all the makeup, dust and sweat.
My skin just feels silky smooth after each cleansing session and I can honestly say I look forward to using it everyday!
It helps remove the thin film of sunblock that remains even after using my oil cleanser and I find that my glycolic moisturizer sinks in immediately( something that hasn't  happened for a long long time)

The Mia is portable and it's cheaper than the classic. Also it claims to remove 6 times more makeup than manual method. My skin feels so clean after each use, so I totally trust the Clarisonic cleansing abilities.The downside to this super effective facial cleanser however is probably the amount of time spent charging it (18 hours for 20 minutes of use) and the fact that it is expensive compared to using a towel, a facial exfoliator or your good old hands. Also, I noticed my skin looking dull on days when I simply didn't have the time to use Mia :<
The Clarisonic Mia is probably suitable for heavy makeup users who travel a lot, lazy or busy individuals who love a good cleanse and the plain curious with extra cash  but are unwilling to fork out 50 USD more for the Classic.

As you can see, the result isn’t all that flattering with clumpy, smudgy lashes that don’t look good.
The wand is fat and big and is a NO NO with such a wet ( not so waterproof) mascara. I get flakes when the mascara does dry , which takes an eternity ~ sigh.. I want to love this mascara because I have watched you tube video reviews which made it look so good and read countless blog reviews that praise it. Sorry, this mascara clumps,smudges and makes my lashes droop and I regret purchasing it!

PERFORMANCE:

1. love the colors – bright and vibrant
2. a light application goes a long way
3. gorgeous when paired with lipgloss
4. smells good – a little like the older  YSL lipsticks
5. affordable
6. packaging rocks – proud to have this lipstick in my makeup pouch :)
7. doesn’t dry lips out
8. Can’t fault this lippy too much except for the fact that the lighter shade ( pink gossip ) fades after a few hours of wear and even shorter if you eat. These colors leaves a strong stain after it wears off.

Overall, I kinda love Rimmels Color show off lipstick. For the price, it is pretty excellent. Smooth and not overly dry with a gorgeous color selection to choose from. I approve!
I wish all of Rimmel products were as good as their lipsticks. A few more reviews of RImmel’s products coming up!
