Korean Inspired Dramatic Eyeliner Look Part II

IMG_2173

I love the recent Korean eyeliner craze – There’s a few things they seem to master beautifully makeup wise – flawless face + crisp & edgy eyeliner looks.

Anyways, to answer a comment I got just recently, I use a few GEL Eyeliners but SUKI brand has to be my favorite ( I’ll do a review on this soon). It’s ultra pigmented and once it sets, it’s darn hard to budge. I’m using it for this look. Also, it’s creamy but dries upon application !

I used the Loreal Gel Eyeliner in my Korean Inspired dramatic eyeliner look part 1.

I’m sorry about all the different lighting. I have white and yellow lights in my home and different areas seem to reproduce the eyeliner color a little differently. I thought it would be interesting to see how it turned out. Also, I put in grey contacts to enhance the super black winged eyeliner. This dramatic eyeliner look is excellent for semi and monolids alike as it brings out the shape of your eyes while defining it beautifully. This would look great for a night out !

It takes some patience and Q tips for clean up. Apply your gel liner to the desired shape ( even on the water line) and apply some black glittery eye shadow, apply mascara and fill your brows to a slightly thicker shape ( just like the Koreans !) and you are good to go. Clean up mess or smudges with a Q tip and some olive oil.

Products used:

Arch De Triumph { Soap & Glory}

Suki Eyeliner { Black with glitter}

Bourjois Smokey eyes

Shu Uemura Brush { For eye lining }

G DRAGON EYES ON U!

Kwon, Ji-Yong (Korean: 권지용, Hanja: 權志龍, Born August 18, 1988), better known by his stage name G-Dragon, is the leader of the Korean musical group Big Bang. Yong means dragon in korean and Ji sounds like "G", hence, the stagename, G-Dragon. He began training under YG Entertainment at the age of twelve. After six years of vocal and dance training he made his debut in 2006 as part of Big Bang.(wikipedia thks!)

Kinda   360 transformation right.

Whatever it is, it’s most likely his business to stun ppl with his amazing blonde hair, pale skin, edward cullen cum digital age look…Well the whole Korean Music business is amazingly vibrant and dynamic.Its really hard to get bored with them.

I was reading through all the Korean sites & G- DRAGON eye makeup is super eye grabbing. Think I'll just do an EOTD.

A guy who looks so good with makeup. DAMN. Esp his smokey, monolid eyes! DAMN I’m bloody jealous!

Korean VS Japanese Celebrities

When it comes to high fashion, sophistication and sass, the Koreans have it.

They do wicked fashion spreads and their skin is always flawless looking.

Sometimes, I do feel like the koreans look is a bit restricted. They rarely have colorful eyes and their lips never veer too far from a nude or pink shade.

KOREA

NATURAL – STYLISH - MATURED LOOKING – FLAWLESS SKIN

Japanese Street fashion is stylish to me. Their Magazine spreads tend to be perfectly airbrushed, photo shopped to death but always fun and trend setting. They have 547228 ways of creating a smokey eye and are super daring in terms of fashion and makeup. Trust the Japs to make doll eyes and colored eyeliner fashionable and making Hime hair all the rage

JAPAN

BRIGHT– FUN – KAWAII – EXPERIMENTAL - OVER THE TOP

There are many Korean and Japanese fashion and beauty trends I adore. When I feel colorful, I veer more to the Japanese side and when I want something simple yet classic, its the Koreans  I look to…

How about you ? Which style do u prefer with regards to fashion and makeup?
