September Product Hits & Misses

So now that October is here, I can safely give the low down on products that I loved & products that I could have easily done without in the month of September 2010.

MISSES

1) Coastal Scents Dual Eyeshadow Pencil
hmm.. NYX eyeshadow pencils fare much better. These look great packaging wise and are even larger than NYX pencils but the quality is nothing to rave about. I prefer the black and browns. The lighter colors are a miss because it doesn’t show up on my lids at all ! It gets scratchy too!


2) LUSH Icy Blue Soap
They should discontinue this crappy soap. No lather, sharp yucky smell. it’s suppose to have a peppermint smell but I just pick up a detergent like scent... eww .. eww…eww…I dumped this!

3) Loreal Instant Impact Felt Liner
I deserve owning this miserable felt liner as it was a rushed purchase. I was rushing home to feed my boy and I just had to replace my L'Oreal super liner ( which dried up after intense usage for a few months. I luv the liner but the short life span sucks ).
This felt liner is runny and melts in heat and sweat !
** word of caution - loreal instant impact felt liner  S U C K S

HITS
1) Coastal Scents Metal Mania Palette
I was scared it might contain the kind of metallics that would make me look like a glitter ball but I was wrong. I love the soft shimmer of the 88 colors. I only have a few complaints with regards to color selection but overall, a great buy, smooth and easy application. Totally worth the money!

2) Rimmel Color Showoff Lipstick
Amazing lipstick. Colors are rich and super fun! Review coming up soon!!
 
3) REVLON Soft Nude Colorburst Lipstick
Just reviewed this lovely lipstick. A drugstore lipstick that glides on like butter and looks so good!

Coastal Scents Metal Mania Palette

I got this metal mania palette as I’ve been craving for a larger metallic range of colors and I don’t regret my purchase one bit. In fact, I much prefer this palette to the 88 Color Palette. The colors of this metal mania palette are smoother and is so much easier to blend.

I WOULD LOVE COASTAL SCENTS METAL MANIA PALETTE EVEN MORE IF-
*added more blacks and grey
*did away with some red shades

coastal scents Haul

It’s been quiet around here but I have a coastal scents haul for you guys!

I ordered some Coastal Scents Lip Smacks, Eyeshadow Pencils and the Metal Mania Palette to celebrate the end of my confinement peirod!! I can officially eat chocolate, ice cream and all the good stuff…Yippie! Sheer Happiness on my part! 
 I bought 4 lip smacks- OASIS, SWEET ANNA,  NEAR PEACH AND MONROE A GO GO

Packaging:Size wise, they are longer than MAC Lip  Glass. I like the packaging. It’s sturdy, simple and elegant looking.  Here I am comparing them to my Iphone

Performance:
Coastal scents lip smacks are FUN! Not only do they have a large variety of colors but the color selection is very flattering and pretty IMHO. These lip glosses stay on for 2-3 hours max and what I enjoy about them besides the fact that they are cheap is that it isn’t sticky. It’s very wearable and the packaging is very practical.
On the downside, I don’t like that the color seems to settle into my lip lines and after a while, my lip color shows through. Pigmentation isn’t OCC lip tar standard but for the price, it’s very decent.
I’m looking to add more to my collection because they are so fun to use!

This blog has been pretty much quiet because baby is going through a really clingy time right now as I’ve moved back from mom in law place. Things are crazy hectic with tons of packing and lots of stocking up for baby boy. Well, I wouldn’t be able to do any reviews, much less eat if it weren’t for my PuPSik SLING:-
